WorkCover Queensland Brand Positioning Film

WorkCover Queensland needed a statewide brand film that repositioned the organisation through the people and industries it supports rather than through policy or process. The film moved through a cross-section of Queensland professions: beekeepers on rooftops, miners underground, divers in open water, architects, chefs, farmers, Indigenous performers, kindy teachers, and tradespeople. Fifty locations across the state. Each one chosen for meaning.

01The Challenge

Workers' compensation is rarely viewed through an emotional lens. The challenge was to reposition WorkCover Queensland as something more human while managing significant production complexity. Filming stretched across more than fifty locations throughout Queensland. Mining sites, rooftops, cafes, farms, construction environments, diving operations, kitchens, classrooms, and cultural spaces all required safety approvals, travel logistics, restricted access, and real-business coordination.

02What We Did

The visual style leaned into cinematic grading, natural movement, and documentary realism. Real workers throughout. No staged perfection, no polished casting. Just Queenslanders doing the work that defines their lives. One standout moment came during an early morning rooftop shoot in Brisbane. A beekeeper working against the city skyline at dawn. Quiet, purposeful, and completely unexpected. Exactly what the campaign needed.

03How It Landed

The film continues to be used as a flagship brand asset across website channels, social media, internal communications, recruitment, and events. Built around real people and real places, it gave WorkCover Queensland something they could be genuinely proud of.
